QUEZON CITY, Feb. 25 Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana emphasized the empowerment of the people to solve security problems during his visit to Western Mindanao Command (WesMinCom) in Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City on February 19.

The AFP Chief said that the goal is to have a peaceful community for people to come and even invest to create employment.
“The solution is not bullet and violence, but what we called “operations other than war” is more sustainable solution than killing,” Lieutenant General Sobejana said.
“In fact, the more we kill the more we create enemies, there are compelling reasons for us to continue to kill especially because of the hardcore lawless elements, those who are hopeless to change,” the AFP Chief added.
